Sula Primerix, or simply SPX, is a multiple-server IRC client that runs under the X Window System. It is written in C. The GUI is provided by the Forms Library (xforms). Based on sula , Sula Primerix offers all the features that one gets from an IRC client such as IRCII, plus many extensions.

SPX is programmable, internally using Scheme; externally, using any programming language of the user's choice. The Scheme implementation used is Guile, the GNU extension language, which is also available from ftp.red-bean.com in the directory pub/guile.

Documentation on hooks has been completed.

flexible keybinding routines which allow the user to bind key and mouse click sequences to actions and procedures.
timers, alarms and clocks to which actions can be bound. These are powerful constructs with resolutions of about 0.05 seconds depending on CPU load.
multiple line messages enable you to send and receive code fragments unaltered.
